DOG LISTENING CONSULTATIONS

Most of us expect our pets to understand our own language and react to our human world in a manner deemed to be humanly acceptable.
Unfortunately our dogs do not 'Speak Human' they 'Speak Canine'
To ensure our dogs are happy, contented and understand what is expected of them, it is necessary for us to talk to them in their own language.
The ethos of Dog Listening is for you to be Relaxed, Happy and in Control. Dog Training should be stress free after all - Shouldn't it?
Where does the consultation take place?
The consultation takes place in your home where you, your family and your dog are comfortable and more likely to show 'normal' behaviour. This way I will be able to see what is really happening.
Who should be present?
If possible all family members who live with the dog should be present as well as anyone who has regular contact. This enables all interested parties to listen and ask questions if they wish. If we understand why something is being done it is much easier to follow it through.
What will you cover during the Dog Listening Consultation?
I ask that between our initial telephone conversation and your appointment that you write down all the issues that are of concern to you. We will then make sure that we cover everything on your list before I leave (As long as it relates to dog training and dog behaviour!)
Sometimes I will pick up on other problems that you hadn't identified too.
What happens next?
I will explain how to change your dog's behaviour. Only kind and gentle techniques are used. Positive harmless methods only. We want to minimize stress in you and your dog.
How long does the consultation last?
Your consultation will last between three to four hours. It takes as long as it takes... If you need further explanation as to how to implement the changes I will stay longer. Whatever the duration, the price you are quoted will remain the same. I will stay with you until you fully understand.
Will I be able to remember everything?
Yes, you are right ... Up to 4 hours is a LOT of information but don't worry I will provide you with a written report to remind you of the information you have been given.
How will I know if I am getting it right?
It will take time for you and your dog to adjust to the new routine, but in time, you will start to notice positive improvements. If you are ever in any doubt I offer a free back-up service by phone or email for the rest of your dogs life.
